Similar look as the Great Blue Heron in North American and the Grey Heron in Europe, Asia and Africa. However, there are slight differences in plumage colors, sizes and the appearance of the heads. Size wise, the Great Blue Heron being the largest (97–140 cm); the Grey Heron being the smallest (84–100 cm); and the Cocoi Heron sits in the middle (95–130 cm). Cocoi Heron is widespread in South America. One interest fact is that all three species co-occur in Trinidad & Tobago.
